Fire-protection double swing gates of Marc-D type are designed to separate fire zones in accordance with binding fire regulations.

They are used mainly in factories and production halls. Due to the design that assumes installation inside the opening, these doors are the ideal solution in places where there is no space around it. They can be used as a normal door maintaining their fire-protection function.

Principle of operation

The wings of the gate in the closed position are locked by a bolt (upper and lower) and a lock latch. The door is kept in the open position by electromagnetic door holder connected to the central fire protection unit. In case of fire risk, the fire-fighting central unit releases the electromagnetic door holder and the gate wings, controlled by door closing coordinator devices, close the passage between the fire zones.

Construction

  • the wings of the gate are made of galvanized steel sheet with a thickness of 0.5-0.7 [mm] and coated in three basic RAL colours: 7035, 9002, 9010;
  • the gate wings are made of modified fire resistant mineral wool of Class A1, classified according to EN-13.501-1, internally reinforced by steel bars with a diameter of 8 mm (the design protected by European patent No.W02/079600A1);
  • the gate wings are installed on hinges fixed to the door frame, which is provided also with an insulating element - the entire assembly is shielded by a set of covers coated in the standard colour of the gate;
  • the gate frame is available in the following three versions, depending on the installation opening in the wall: corner, covering and internal.
