Fire-protection rolling curtains of Marc-VRo type are designed to separate fire zones in accordance with binding fire regulations.

These doors are used mainly in public buildings, schools, hospitals, hotels, manufacturing plants and halls. They are the ideal solution for places with a limited amount of space around the opening. They may be painted in any RAL colour to adapt the door to almost any operational environment.

Principle of operation

Version with fuse element
In case of fire risk, the fuse element is triggered (the element is heated up to temp. of 74°C). This solution requires no additional power supply. After releasing the lock with fuse element, the door goes down under its own weight. In order to control the speed of free lowering of the door, a speed control device is installed. A crank is used to lift the door.

Version with tubular drive
Opening and closing of the rolling curtain is carried out by a tubular motor 24V DC.  In case of fire risk, the fire-fighting central unit activates the motor and the door closes the passage between the fire zones. When using a tubular motor, it is necessary to use control system cooperating with the local fire-protection control unit or local Fire Alarm System.

Construction

  • curtain shell consists of fireproof panels;
  • each panel is made up of a shaped PVC profile, with two internal wooden slats tightly coated by a fire-resistant insulation material;
  • the panels are made in standard colour similar to RAL 7035;
  • the panels are wound on the shaft and mounted between the guides, which typically are covered by a housing.
