Project characteristics:

Most of the fire protection installed in the facility was designed, manufactured, and installed by Małkowski-Martech S.A.
Fernando Menis’s design concept has gained recognition both in Poland and abroad. In 2010, the design of the Jordanki concert hall received a commendation at the World Architecture Festival in Barcelona as the best cultural future project. The design of the steel substructure of the hall won the first place in the category of engineering at Tekla Global Bim Awards 2014.CKK Jordanki received I Jury Award in the Bryła contest in 2015.

Acoustic gate:
– 1-wing vertically sliding gate, EI 120 class

System of theatre gates:
– two 1-wing vertically sliding gates, EI 120 class
– 5 m high double wing gate, EI 60 class
– curtain gate, EW120/E120 class

Gates closing other halls and technical rooms:
– double wing gates, EI 60 class
– rolling gates, El 30 class
– 2-wing sliding gates, EI 120 class
 

When designing the gates, the following issues were taken into account:

– the nature of the new building
– the concept of the architect
– necessary soundproofing
– combined operation of the gates with other equipment of the stage
– installation of driving elements and secured against unauthorised access
– minimisation of the distances between driving elements and the leaf to prevent it from falling out of guides
– the use of an emergency stop button and automatic limit switches
– limiting the closing speed to < 0.2 m/s

Characteristics:

For the purpose of the Centre, the acoustic sliding gate Marc-P with EI 120 fire resistance was designed in collaboration with designers. An eleven-metre high gate has been installed from the side of the auditorium and it has a high sound insulation coefficient of 45 dB, thus it meets the sound insulation requirements for internal partitions in buildings in accordance with the standard PN-EN ISO 717-1:1999.
